Abstract This Resolution creates the Technical Team for the preparation of the National Inventory of Greenhouse Gases (GHG). As part of the ratification of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) on 29 March 1995, and within the framework of the specific obligations established by article 4 of the aforementioned Convention, Cape Verde undertakes to prepare, update and publish a national inventory of anthropogenic emissions by sources and removal by sinks of Greenhouse Gases (GHG) not controlled by the Montreal Protocol. The National GHG Inventory is a transparency mechanism and its results also allow subsidizing action plans to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases. The Technical Team has the mission of supporting in updating the national GHG inventories, as well as supporting the preparation of biannual reports on GHGs and National Communications on Climate Change.
