Abstract

This Resolution provides for the creation of the Palm Reproduction Centre located in the zone of Sa’loo in the province of Deir Azzour. Competences and objectives of the aforementioned Centre are: (a) to produce high quality palm shoots and palm seedlings to be destined to agriculturists for the expansion and enlargement of the palm habitat; (b) to limit, control and study palm pests and diseases; (c) to estimate and evaluate local palm families and species; (d) to guide and instruct tillers to use palm cultivation and care technology; and, (e) to qualify and train specialists and technicians for the cultivation of palms.
