Abstract

This Resolution is composed of 5 articles. The forests located in the zone of Mar Mousa Alhabashy of 600 hectares are to be considered protected forests (art. 1). The objectives of the protected zone are: (a) protection of the environment system and natural forests; (b) protection of historical and religious heritage of the zone; and (c) development of heritage environmental tourism (art. 2). Activities prohibited in the aforementioned protected area are: (a) any activity which may damage the environmental system, historical heritage and religious heritage like grazing, cultivation of lands, digging wells, drainage of soil and waste, opening up roads, and construction of buildings and installations (art. 3). Scientific research is allowed upon the approval of the Forestry Department (art. 4). The management of the above-mentioned protected area is submitted to the provisions of the Forestry Law (art. 5).
