Abstract This Resolution establishes powers, composition and mode of functioning of the National Council for the Environment and Climate Action (CNAAC). The CNAAC is a consultative body that works on the major policy options and cooperation between public and private entities in the field of Environment and Climate Action. Its mission aims at articulating, harmonizing, and monitoring sectoral policies, proposing programmes that contribute to develop policies in the Environment and Climate Action sector, as well as, strengthening cooperation between public, private and civil entities in the fields of Environment and Climate Action. The CNAAC's fundamental responsibility is to issue opinions and ensure the agreement of political and social positions regarding the integrated and sustainable management of the Environment in Cape Verde, establishing the respective relationship with the national policy for reducing poverty and the country's economic growth.
