This Resolution enters into force on the day after its publication.
Abstract

This Resolution approves the Cape Verde National Protected Areas Strategy (ENAP), general policy to all National Network of Protected Areas (RNAP). This Strategy main objectives are in particular: establishing guidelines for a long-term expansion plan, including control strategies and/or mitigating the impacts of climate change. The Strategy also aims at improving protected areas for the adaptation to climate change; promoting the expansion and consolidation of the National Network of protected areas and allowing the actors of civil society, local communities and non-governmental organizations to participate in the creation and selection of protected areas.
