Abstract This Resolution ratifies the Agreement creating the 2018 African Continental Free Trade Zone, signed by Angola on 21 March 2018, in Kigali-Rwanda. The Agreement aims to create a continental market and the free movement of people, goods and services for the deepening of the continent's economic integration, the promotion of agricultural development, food security, industrialization and structural economic transformations, through an adequate infrastructure, the reduction or progressive elimination of tariff barriers and the elimination of non-tariff barriers to trade and investment. In addition, it covers trade in goods, trade in services, investment, intellectual property rights and competition policy and regulating their general and specific objectives, principles, administration, organization, transparency, continental preferences, resolution of disputes, exceptions, reservation, registration, notification, review and amendments.
