Abstract This Resolution establishes standards and requirements for the registration of pesticides at the Ministry of Agriculture and Land reclamation. The following requirements and condtions must be respected for the registration of a new pesticide: (a) to have a trade mark; (b) to be registred and used in the country of origin or in two developed countries, and (c) to be authorized by the accredited international organizations.Importation and circulation of agricultural pesticides shall be allowed only after their registration at the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation. The company which desires to register a pesticide must present an application to the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation provided with the following: certificate of the country of origin; name of producers; certificate of the registration; three original copies of the technical data translated into English and Arabic. Registration of pesticides is renwable every 5 years. Resolution No. 123/T of 1986 on pesticides registration is now abrogated.
