Abstract This Resolution implements into the National territory the Convention for the Cooperation in the Area of Protection and Development of Marine and Coastal Zones. This Convention, consisting of 31 articles and one Protocol, covers the marine environment, coastal zones and related inland waters that are under the jurisdiction of States in the region of West and Central Africa, from Mauritania to Namibia, both included and which have become Parties to this Convention on the Cooperation Protocol on Combating Pollution in cases of emergency. It aims to ensure sustainable development and environment-friendly, and meet the specific needs of these regions, regarding to the prevention and fight against marine pollution.
