This Resolution enters into force within 6 months from the date of its issuance.
Abstract

This Resolution is composed of 12 articles and 3 Forms. Licences for aquaculture and mariculture shall be issued in accordance with the following requirements and conditions: (a) the cultivation farms must be at least 100 metres away from protected areas; (b) the guarantee of clean water sources; and, (c) the drainage canal of aquaculture farms must be at least 50 metres away from other aquaculture farms. Procedures for issuing a licence are: (a) submission of an application to the Agriculture and Land Reclamation Department in the concerned province; (b) approval by the Ministry of Irrigation; and, (c) inspection of the site by a technical committee to ascertain the compatibility of the farm with the aforementioned requirements. The licence shall contain the productive capacity of the aquaculture and mariculture farms. The authorized aquaculture and mariculture farms shall be in compliance with the provisions of Resolution No. 12/T of 1991. The licence shall be suspended when it is ascertained that the farms cause pollution to drinking water. The Forms attached to the Resolution are: (a) inspection report; (b) aquaculture licence; and, (c) undertaking application.
