It consists of seven articles: General provisions (1); Standards applicable to grape wines (2); Specific zones of grape production (3); General principles of designation of origin of wines (4); Vine varieties and agro-technical methods for grapes (5); Regulations imposed on grapes that are used for wines with geographical designation of origin (6); and General technological rules for wine-making (7). The Resolution also includes Annex 1 on Physical-chemical indicators of grape wines, and Annex 2 on Maximum harvest yields of wines with designation of origin. According to the document, it is based on traditional rules of wine-making in Georgia and the European Council regulation (EC) No. 1493/1999 of 17 May 1999 on the common organization of the market in wine. The Resolution applies to all individuals and entities that are engaged in grape wine-making industry.
