Abstract

This Resolution amends Resolution No. 220 of 2004 issuing the Regulation for the production, preparation, examination and exportation of potatoes to the European Union as follows: (a) addition to clause 1 of the paragraph “the list of the exporter companies of potatoes shall be adopted annually under the control of the Joint Committee of the concerned authorities”; (b) addition to clause 2 of the paragraph “the pest free area destined to the exportation to the European Union shall be not less than 50 feddans”; (c) addition of the following paragraphs “the adoption of the examination and packing centres of potatoes shall be renewed annually under the control of the concerned authorities”, “the examination and packing centres of potatoes shall operate only for a centre”, “prohibition to keep potatoes under straw into packing and sorting centres”, and “in case of repetition of transgressions the centre shall be stopped for a month”.
