In addition, it aims to guarantee the continuation of related systematic research in the country's sedimentary basins, encouraging the national private sector to invest in oil research and production activities and promote foreign investment in research and production within the national territory. In order to achieve these objectives, the Strategy establishes five Strategic Actions to be implemented, namely: 1) Definition of areas which are subject to public tender, considering their petroleum potentiality. 2) Definition of areas to be subject to simultaneous and direct negotiation and reserve areas, taking into account geological prospectivity, data volume and risk based on positive or negative results in adjacent areas. 3) Division of the concession areas into blocks of relatively smaller areas. 4) Opening international public tenders for the granting of rights. 5) Participation of the national business sector in oil operations.
