The Ministry of Economy and other state executive bodies concerned shall be responsible for the development of draft resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on rates of qualitative condition of soils, on amendments to the procedure for collection, use, dissemination of information on desertification and land degradation and on establishment of the coordination council for combating land degradation and desertification. Resolution envisaged performance of the following arrangements: (a) landscaping of arable land by removing from this category slopes, land of water protection zones, erosion-hazardous and other types of land unsuitable for plowing; (b) acceleration of works on conservation of degraded, technogenic polluted and unproductive land, reclamation of disturbed lands; and (c) soil and agrochemical inspection and agrochemical certification of agricultural land plots.
