Abstract

This Resolution is composed of 6 articles. The cultivated zones with fruit trees, cereals, vegetables, legumes and forests located in the province of Tartoos shall be subjected to the campaign against agricultural epidemics (art. 1). Tillers and farmers shall carry out the operations for fighting epidemics in a safe and secure manner as established by the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation (art. 2). All party organizations, farmers, private organizations and local Authorities are obliged to carry out the awareness campaign against agricultural epidemics and diseases (art. 3). Investigation and Fighting Units, and Teams established by the Ministry of Agricultural and Land Reclamation shall check on the execution of the operations related to the aforementioned campaign according to the methods and technical directions issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation (art. 4). A committee of specialists at the Agricultural Department in Tartoos, with the objective to lead and control the campaign, shall be established (art. 5). Establishment of the Purchase Committee at the Agricultural Department of Tartoos, composed of specialists with specific competences, shall provide for the necessary equipment and requirements for the campaign from the budget of the Ministry of Agriculture allocated for this purpose (art. 6).
