Abstract

This Resolution, consisting of 12 articles, creates an ad hoc Organization to accompany the planning process of the Special Economic Zone of Maritime Economy in São Vicente (ZEEEM-SV). It establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of above mentioned organization aiming at the use of the Cape Verdean marine resources as the main comparative advantage for the development of an integrated maritime economy, transforming it into a competitive advantage, through the creation of a chain of industries and services connected to the sea. The vision of the ZEEM-SV is to compete for the transformation of Cape Verde into a maritime Middle Atlantic logistics platform in the medium and long term.
