Abstract Comprising 16 articles, this Resolution seeks to govern the issuance of navigation permits for ships entering Bahrain's territorial waters. Its provisions pertain to visiting ships engaged in various purposes, including: (i) excursion and recreational trips; (ii) maintenance services; (iii) refueling services; (iv) procurement of necessary supplies; and (v) participation in marine exhibitions. The Resolution covers: (i) requirements for obtaining a navigation permit; (ii) issuance and renewal of the permit; (iii) obligations for visiting ships, encompassing compliance with Kingdom laws, license terms, continuous AIS operation, crew requirements, seaworthiness, accident reporting, and timely departure; (iv) responsibilities of the visiting ship agent; (v) suspension and cancellation of the permit; (vi) oversight and verification; (vii) conducting commercial activity after securing the required license; and (ix) associated fees.
