This Resolution provides for the establishment of the Agricultural Medicines Committee composed of 13 specialists and experts as representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, Plant Protection Department, Ministry of Public Health, and other competent and concerned departments and authorities (art. 1). Article 2 specifies the competences of the Committee, which include: (a) classifying agricultural medicines; (b) drawing-up a list with the toxicity of these medicines and their effect on human health; (c) drawing-up a list with the maximum residue limit (MRL); (d) indicating the period between the date of use and the collection date of the crop (PHI); (e) studying the risks caused by the use of these medicines to the public health, animals, plant, birds and useful insects; (f) giving requirements and conditions necessary for the prevention of toxicity and poisoning; (g) deciding on licence application; (h) fixing the price of agricultural medicines; and (i) defining the registration form.
