Competencies of fishermen Sheikhs (chiefs) shall be: to be a connecting link between cooperatives and the competent offices of fisheries; inform fishermen about resolutions, directions and instructions concerning fishing and fishermen; help the General Administration for Fish Resources Development in the collection of fees, fines, amends and arrears as well as exhibit the complaint of fishermen (art. 1).
