This Resolution enters into force on 7 July 1994.
Abstract

This Resolution is composed of 9 articles. Competencies of fishermen Sheikhs (chiefs) shall be: to be a connecting link between cooperatives and the competent offices of fisheries; inform fishermen about resolutions, directions and instructions concerning fishing and fishermen; help the General Administration for Fish Resources Development in the collection of fees, fines, amends and arrears as well as exhibit the complaint of fishermen (art. 1). Necessary requirements for fishermen Sheikh (art. 2). Necessary documents for the candidature of sheikhs (art. 3). Candidature procedures (art. 4). Nomination procedures of sheikhs (art. 5). Penalties against Sheikhs (art. 6). Sheikh's pensioning off (art. 7). Resolution No. 84 of 1979 is now abrogated (art. 8).
