Abstract This Resolution is composed of 5 Chapters divided into 18 articles. Terms and definitions (Chap. I). Objectives and competencies of the Authority are defined in Chapter II which are: contribution in the realization of economic and social development programmes of the State; development of seed production; improvement of the management; contribution in the realization of food security; applying the general policy of the National Council for Seeds; laying down programmes and plans in seed production; implementation of production programmes; carrying out of laboratory analysis; laying down rules for price-fixing; improvement the quality of seeds; marketing of products; training and qualification of employees; coordination with the international organizations. Financial provisions of the Authority dealt with in Chapter III. Chapter IV pertains to the management of the Authority's activities. Concluding and transitional provisions are provided for in Chapter V.
