Abstract

The Strategy for the Rational Use of Agro-Mineral Resources and for the Launching of the Fertilizer Industry in Angola is approved. The Strategy aims at Rational Utilization of Agro-Mineral Resources and the launching of the Fertilizer industry in Angola to inventory and identify raw materials of mining and oil origin to produce locally, creating mining, agrarian and petrochemical development poles. This Strategy aims also at achieving very broad results in line with a relatively harmonious and self-sustaining development in the productive sectors, particularly in the agrarian, mining and industrial sectors. The potential of the agro-minerals in Angola is enormous (phosphorites, phosphates, gypsum, sulfur and guanos salts, etc.). This strategy also provides for the implementation of the ammonia production project and the export of all production in the first phase and the subsequent implementation of projects for the production of urea granules and ammonium nitrate.
