Abstract This Resolution approves the Statute of the National Centre for Cartography and Remote Sensing (CENACARTA, IP). CENACARTA, IP aims to ensure the implementation of policies, direct, plan, coordinate, execute, monitor and approve geo-cartographic and remote sensing activities throughout the national territory. The attributions of CENACARTA, IP are: establishment of policies, standards and technical norms for topo-geodetic and cartographic works carried out in the national territory; coverage of the national territory with geodetic networks of adequate precision; guarantee the availability of basic cartography of the entire national territory; acquisition, archiving and distribution of geographic information; acquisition and processing of aerospace images; archiving data covering all or part of Mozambican territory; carrying out studies; and realization, in suitable scales, of aerial photographs, photographic mosaics, topographical maps, thematic maps and other special charts.
