Abstract This Resolution approves the Statute of the Ministry of Women and Social Action, created by Presidential Decree No. 13/2005 of 4 February. This Statute, consisting of 4 Chapters, establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of this institution entitled: to promote women empowerment in political, socio-economic and cultural areas; to promote family members protection and decision-making balance; to promote the assistance to vulnerable groups, in particular women, youth, elders, handicapped and other discriminated groups; to promote the coordination of governmental and non-governmental actions working in gender and social actions areas.
