Abstract This Regulation determines the procedure for testing new scientifically substantiated methods for conducting censuses of game animals, planning of hunting thereof, carrying out biotechnical measures, establishing criteria for inclusion of game animals to trophy and (or) selection categories. Methodologies must contain clear requirements for establishing rates of hunting of game animals, organizing and conducting censuses of the number of game animals, carrying out biotechnical activities, establishing criteria for classifying game animals as trophy and (or) breeding animals. The period for testing methods cannot be set to less than 2 years. During the period of testing the methods, users of hunting grounds participating in their testing in the process of hunting carry out registration of game animals, planning hunting of game animals of regulated species, with the exception of aurochs (reserve gene pool), carrying out biotechnical activities, establishing criteria for classification of game animals as trophy and (or) selection based on approved methods. Users of hunting grounds participating in testing methods, in the process of hunting, ensure compliance with the methodology and do not allow harm to the environment due to non-compliance with the specified methods.
