Abstract This Resolution consists of 21 articles. The Environment High Committee is to be formed by a President and 16 members from different ministries (art. 1). The Committee's competencies are: (a) laying down laws and rules, (b) studying and proposing plans and general environmental policy, (c) coordination between different ministries on environmental matters, (d) information and education on the environment and environmental protection, (e) training of environmental specialists, (f) air and water pollution control, (g) protection of the coastal zone (art. 2).
