Abstract

This Resolution is composed of 6 articles. Article 1 defines requirements and conditions for the importation of horses in Lebanon, which are to: obtain a prior licences in accordance with mechanisms adopted by the Lebanese Register Commission for Horse Breeds; limit the importation of horses from countries free of epidemic diseases set forth in the OIE Health Code; and; attach a sanitary certificate issued by the Veterinary Authority of the country of origin. Article 2 decrees the registration of imported horses at the Directorate of Livestock - Ministry of Agriculture. Article 4 abrogates Resolution No. 120/1 of 7 March 1996.
