This Resolution enters into force on 3 July 1999.
Abstract

This Regulation shall be valid for all licensed vessels operating in the Yemeni Territorial Waters according to the agreement signed with the Ministry of Fish Wealth (art. 1). Every vessel fishing within 6 miles from the low tide in the Red Sea and 5 miles in the Gulf of Eden shall pay U$ 10,000 daily (art. 2). Every vessel fishing with drag nets at depth of less than 40 metres shall pay U$ 10,000 daily (art. 3). Every vessel fishes outside the defined zone shall pay U$ (5,000) (art. 4). Every vessel fishes by the use of unauthorized gear shall pay U$ (10,000) or the confiscation of the fished quantity (art. 6). Every delivery vessel practises its activity outside the established area or receives unauthorized aquatic livings shall pay U$ (1,000) and U$ (2,000) respectively (arts. 5 and 7). Every vessel fishes unauthorized specie whether during the season or whether outside it shall pay U$ (3,000) for every day (art. 8). Every vessel uses net with meshes size less than the established one shall pay U$ (15,000) (art. 9). Every vessel throw oil or fuel into the fishing area shall pay U$ (20,000) (art. 11). Every vessel leaves the Territorial Waters without permission shall pay U$ (10,000) and the revocation of licence (art. 13). Every vessel fishes in the protected area shall pay the U$ (3,000) for each day (art. 15). Every vessel use poison or explosive shall pay U$ (100,000) (art. 16). Every vessel without the writing of the Registration Number on both sides shall pay U$ (5,000) (art. 18). The Ministry of Fish Wealth will take the contravention sums and destine 50% for the Government Treasury and 50% for the Ministry Fund (art. 21)
