It consists of nine articles: Purpose and scope of regulation (1); Definitions (2); Obligations of the Agency (3); Targets for the reduction of the prevalence of zoonoses and zoonotic agents (4); National control programme (5); Approval of the national control programmes (6); Food and feed business operators' control programmes (7); Specific control methods (8); and Import (9). The Resolution approve Annex I - Specified zoonoses and zoonotic agents for which Community targets for the reduction of prevalence are to be established pursuant to Article 4; Annex II - Control of zoonoses and zoonotic agents listed in Annex I; Annex III - Specific criteria to determine salmonella serotypes with public health significance; Annex IV – Use of specific control methods in birds for the control of salmonella as part of a state control program; Annex 5 - Testing scheme necessary to verify the achievement of the target for the reduction of Salmonella Enteritidis and Salmonella Typhimurium in young breeding flocks of Gallus gallus; and Annex 6 - Testing scheme necessary to verify the achievement of the target for the reduction of Salmonella Enteritidis and Salmonella Typhimurium in flocks of turkey.
