Abstract The Resolution provides for requirements for collection and processing of municipal waste. The Regulation consists of 24 articles: Purpose and goals (1); Scope of application (2); Definition of terms (3); Application of waste management principles (4); Right and duties of municipalities (5); Municipal waste management service (6); Provider of collection and processing services (7); Alternative approaches to waste management (8); Planning and implementation of a collection system (9); Service quality of municipal waste management (10); Separate collection of recyclable municipal waste (11); Streams of municipal waste (12); Technology for collecting and transporting municipal waste (13); Collection containers for municipal waste (14); Collection vehicles (15); Technical service and repair (16); Personnel involved in municipal waste management (17); Waste collection routes (18); Transportation and reload stations (19); Prevention of pollution (20); Monitoring and management of municipal waste system (21); Requirements for processing municipal waste (22); Methods of processing municipal waste (23); and Alternatives to processing municipal waste (24). The purposes of the Resolution include creating effective methods that need to be used for protection of human health and reducing impact on the environment. The Resolution covers the entire process of municipal waste management.
