Abstract This Resolution regulates the introduction of liquid effluent containing substances which are not degradable and have a high degree of toxicity, resulting from any industrial activity, shall comply, for protection of the health, safety and well-being of the populations who use the water in Paraiba do Sul River as a supply source, with the standards, criteria and directives established by this Regulation. It consists of 3 articles and 1 annex prohibiting the introduction of final industrial flow which contains the following carcinogenic substances. A list of prohibited substances is attached in annex.
