Abstract

This Resolution ratifies the Protocol on Fauna Conservation and Law Implementation in the Community for Southern Africa Development, signed in Maputo on 18 August 1999. The Protocol applies to the conservation and sustainable use of Fauna. It aims at introducing a legal framework for harmonising the further national legislation dealing with fauna conservation and sustainable use. In particular, the Protocol addresses to legal instruments and management programmes for fauna conservation.
