Abstract

This Implementing Regulation is composed of 4 Sections divided into 43 articles. Section I deals with the following matters: marine pollution by oil from ships and tankers; non-pollution certificates and oil registers; ship’s equipment and gear; rules for the prevention of marine pollution by wastes, refuses and rubbishes from ships and tankers; marine pollution by sewage water discharged from ships and tankers; rules for applying international laws related to dangerous and harmful goods; and, tasks and duties of port’s administrations. Section II provides for marine pollution from land sources. Section III pertains to define measures, arrangements and steps for inquiry into accidents and to decide compensations, indemnifications, amends and mullets. Section IV contains general provisions.
