The Departments will be made up of the following offices: (a) Impact, Revising and Inspection Office, which shall include an EIA Branch, a Revising and Inspection Branch and a Licensing Branch; (b) Environmental Safety Office, which shall include a Water Safety Branch, a Land Safety Branch, a Chemical Safety and Waste Disposal Management Branch, an Air Safety Branch and a Biodiversity and Protected Zones Branch; (c) Office of Administrative, Legal and Finance Affairs which shall include a Statistics and Tracking Branch, a Laboratory Branch and an Internal Control Branch. The duties of the Environmental Affairs Department are: to study the EIA within the province; to control all activities with EIA; to issue environmental licences; to control environmental laboratories; to implement and respect environmental standards; to educate and train in the field of environment; and to contribute in studies and research for environmental safety.
