Abstract This Resolution approves the Statute of the Ministry of the Sea, Inland Waters and Fisheries. This Statute, consisting of 22 articles divided into four Chapters, establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned Ministry as a central organ of the State, in accordance with the principles, objectives, priorities and tasks defined by the Government, entitled to direct, coordinate, research, plan and ensure policy and strategies implementation; promote the use and exploitation of marine resources, including aquaculture and mariculture, interior and their ecosystems waters; promote and coordinate the regulation of sustainable use of water, prevention and reduction of pollution of ecosystems, as well as carry out other activities in the areas of the sea, inland waters and fisheries in conjunction with other agencies.
