Abstract This Resolution is composed of 6 articles. Regulating exploited wells of agricultural lands before 1 August 2000, which are distant more than 300 metres from the State’s wells, shall be carried out after studying the effect of these wells on the State’s wells by the Basin Departments, Irrigation Offices in provinces, Drinking Water and Drainage Department and a representative of Tillers Union (art. 1). The digging of new wells within 1000 metres from the boundary of drinking-water wells shall be absolutely prohibited (art. 2). Licences for digging and exploiting new wells shall be issued upon the approval of the Ministry of Irrigation. The Prefects shall take the necessary arrangements and measures to exempt well owners who settled their position, and to renew their exploitation licence (art. 5). Full text Arabic
