Abstract

This Resolution approves criteria for assessing the admissibility of state aid to business entities for environmental protection. Protection of the natural environment shall be intended any actions aimed at eliminating or preventing damage to the environment or natural resources as a result of the activities of the aid recipient, reducing the risk of causing such damage, more efficient use of natural resources, including energy saving tools and the use of renewable energy sources. The categories of recipients of state aid for environmental protection include business entities operating in any field. State aid for environmental protection is not provided to economic entities that have overdue debts to the state (local) budget and the Pension Fund of Ukraine for more than six months, which have been declared bankrupt, in respect of which a bankruptcy case has been initiated, which are at the stage of liquidation and /or recognize their inability to fulfill their obligations to creditors in a timely manner due to an unsatisfactory state of financial and economic activity and/or have significant receivables. The maximum amount of state aid for environmental protection is set as a percentage of the costs necessary to achieve the specified goal (objective) of environmental protection, and is determined in accordance with the Annex.
