Abstract This Resolution is composed of 6 articles. Articles 1 and 2 define requirements and conditions for the importation of ornamental living birds from countries with notifiable avian influenza NAI, in particular: birds shall be taken from farms registered at veterinary authorities of the country of origin; birds shall be subjected to analysis and control to ensure that are free from bird flu with NAI; and, birds shall be accompanied with identification certificates and with CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species) issued from countries of origin. Article 4 removes the embargo on countries affected by bird flu in accordance with mechanisms adopted by the World Organization for Animal Health. Full text Arabic
