Abstract This Regulation implements the Guidance Note for the olive oil production in Lebanon and the environmental pollution caused by this production. The Guidance Note states the techniques used for oil production and identifies the various wastes resulting from each of the techniques adopted. It also proposes different mitigation measures, cleaner production options and recycling of olive oil industry wastes . This Guidance seeks to develop a monitoring program to assess the environmental commitment of olive presses. The Guidance Note includes an annex for the possible solutions to recycle olive residues.
