Abstract The purpose of this Resolution is to protect the environment by regulating and controlling substances that deplete the ozone layer. The present Resolution is composed of 17 articles. Article 1 deals with terms and definitions. Article 2 lists the substances harmful to the ozone layer. Article 4 specifies the documents and procedures for obtaining a licence from the Environment Board for the importation of substances listed in article 2. Article 7 entrusts the Environment Board to prepare a time table for the gradual disposal of substances harmful to the ozone layer. Article 16 contains offences and penalties.
