Abstract This Resolution, composed of 5 articles, approves the new Regulation of the natural park of Sintra-Cascais (POPNSC). The Regulation, composed of 45 articles and III Annexes, establishes the priority protection objectives, the areas subject to the protection regime, the zoning and classification of the areas, the activities and uses allowed. In particular, the Regulation distinguishes between the following types of areas: partial protection areas, complementary protection areas, areas of specific measures, areas not covered by protection regimes. Within the uses and activities foreseen in the natural park, the Regulation indicates: agro-pastoral, hunting, mining and quarrying, forestry, infrastructure, tourism, environmental awareness.
