This Resolution enters into force on the day of its publication.
Abstract

This Law, consisting of 15 articles and 4 Annexes, establishes criteria and procedures for management and exploitation of agroforestry systems within the State of Rio de Janeiro. The establishment, management and exploitation of agroforestry systems may be authorized by INEA upon specific administrative procedure in the following situations: Permanent Preservation Areas located in small rural family properties or possession; restoration and management of legal reserves; areas covered by secondary Atlantic Forest vegetation in the intermediate stage of regeneration located in small rural family property or possession; areas covered by secondary Atlantic Forest vegetation in early stages of regeneration. The deployment and exploitation of Agroforestry Systems shall not be permitted in areas covered by primary or secondary vegetation in the advanced stage of regeneration of the Atlantic Forest biome.
