Abstract

This Resolution, consisting of 18 sections and completed by two Annexes, establishes guidelines for the environmental licensing of gas stations and services and provides for the prevention and control of pollution. It establishes that the location, construction, installation, modification, expansion and operation of gas stations, retail installations and other fuel stations will depend on previous licensing issued by the competent environmental agency, without prejudice to other legally enforceable licenses. All projects for the construction, modification and expansion of the above mentioned projects must be carried out in accordance with technical standards issued by the Brazilian Association of Technical Standards-ABNT and by guidelines established in this Resolution or by the competent environmental agency.
