Abstract

This Resolution establishes general guidelines for the integration between the management of water resources and the management of mineral, thermal, sparkling, drinking waters or for bathing purposes. The competent water resources management body and the mineral resources management body, with a view to facilitating the integration process, should seek the sharing of information and compatibility of procedures, defining the content and the necessary technical studies. The information to be shared must refer to: titles of mining research rights on waters for mineral, thermal, sparkling, potable or bathing purposes for inclusion in the Water Resources Information System; administrative acts related to the use of water resources (such as: granting use rights, previous demonstrations and permits to construct wells) for their inclusion in the information system of mineral resources; the area subject to a research request for mineral, thermal, sparkling, potable or thermal waters; the area of spring water protection instituted by the managing body of mineral resources; the areas of restriction and control established by the competent water resources management in order to be considered by the body managing mineral resources; the quantitative and qualitative monitoring available in the managing bodies; those necessary for the formulation of water resources plans and for the performance of river basin committees.
