Abstract This Resolution is enacted by taking into account the responsibility for the conservation and optimum utilization of tuna and tuna-like species in the Indian Ocean. The text adopts a management procedure for the bigeye tuna stock managed by the IOTC with a view of maintaining the stock biomass in the green zone of the Kobe plot while maximizing the average catch from the fishery and reducing the variation in the total allowable catch (TAC) between management periods. The text further provides for management procedure for bigeye tuna known as MP1 Harvest (Annex 1) and target achievements. The text lays out provision for Total Allowable Catch (TAC) setting through advice of the Scientific Committee and the IOTC Commission. A review of performance of the management procedure by the Commission and its subcommittees is to occur in 2030. The text consists of 13 sections and has two attachments.
