The Authority for Research and Conservation of Cultural Heritage is established under article 2 as a government institution with a juridical personality. The Authority shall carry out scientific registration and supervision of cultural heritage, protect cultural heritage, etc. (art. 4). Powers and duties of the Authority are set out in article 6. The Authority shall have an Advisory Council and a General Manager. Powers and duties of the Council are set out in article 9, whereas powers of the General Manager are set out in article 11. Articles 29 and following concern exploration, discovery and study of cultural heritage. The Council of Ministers may declare reserved areas under section 42.
