Abstract This Republic Act provides for the construction of fish ports in the following Municipalities: Tongkil, Tapul, Lugus, Kalinggalan Caluang and Siasi, within the Province of Sulu. It establishes that this construction will be carried out, under the supervision of the Department of Agriculture (DA) through the Philippine Fisheries Development Authority (PFDA), fish ports in the above mentioned Province. The PFDA, in coordination with the local government units concerned, shall formulate the rules and regulations necessary for the effective implementation of this Act. The Secretary of Agriculture shall include in the Department’s programmes the construction of said fish ports, the funding of which shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act. The local government unit concerned shall set aside funds from any available local revenues in an amount deemed appropriate for its operationalization. Full text English Website www.chanrobles.com
