Abstract

This Chapter of the Revised Code of Washington (RCW) concerns reorganization of districts into improvement districts. According to the document, any diking district; drainage district; irrigation improvement district; intercounty diking and drainage district; diking, drainage, and/or sewerage improvement district; consolidated diking district, drainage district, diking improvement district, and/or drainage improvement district; or flood control district may reorganize as a drainage and irrigation improvement district or as a diking, drainage and irrigation improvement district in the manner provided in this Chapter. More specifically, it provides for the authorization of the noted reorganization; petition to reorganize, and contents; elections, notice, publication, and costs; reorganized district, commissioners retained, powers, and effect of reorganization; refunding bonds; powers of board; and extensions to compensate for inadequate benefits and payment.
