Abstract

This Act seeks to promote the use of renewable energy resources that are capable of generating electricity such as winds, solar, hydropower, biomass, geothermal and wave/tidal. It establishes the framework for accelerated development and advancement of such resources. The Minister shall prescribe middle and long-term targets for the use of renewable energy.
