It establishes the framework for accelerated development and advancement of such resources. The Minister shall prescribe middle and long-term targets for the use of renewable energy. The Act defines functions of the Minister. Policy shall be integrated with requirements of public utility. The Act establishes Renewable Energy Fund and provide for incentives for certified operators of facilities using renewable energy sources including hybrid systems. The Minister shall carry out an environmental impact assessment of the use of biomass. The Act also provides with respect to licensing, certification and registration of facilities. Full text English
