Abstract

This Amendment to the Fishery Management Plan (FMP) for the Spiny Lobster fishery in the U.S. Fishery Conservation Zone (FCZ) of the Gulf of Mexico and the South Atlantic under the Jurisdiction of the Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council: changes the days for the special recreational season in the EEZ off Florida (to reduce participation levels); introduces a prohibition on night-time harvest off Monroe County, Florida, during that season; specifies allowable gear during that season; and provides for different bag limits during that season off the Florida Keys and the EEZ off other areas of Florida.
