They require the deployment of bird scaring lines by Hake Demersal Longline Vessels. A person may not engage a longline vessel in fishing operations without the deployment of at least one bird scaring line on each line set during fishing operations at all times. The line shall be in accordance with specifications set out by these Regulations.
