Abstract A Delegated Office for Foodstuffs is created within the administration of the Ministry of Trade and Industry. The Office shall: (a) carry out tasks in the field of supervision and control of the implementation of various laws and regulations relating to food; (b) on the national level plan and work out the international cooperation in the field of legislation and standardisation regarding foodstuffs; (3) act as the national Codex Alimentarius committee; (4) carry out other tasks as may be decided by the Ministry (sect. 2). Members of the Delegated Office shall be appointed by the Council of Ministers and shall represent various competences (sect. 3). The organization shall be led by a Secretary General (sect. 6).
